St. Julian Winery and Paw Paw Brewing Co. host Music, Beer and Wine Festival
Michigan’s oldest, largest and most awarded winery, St. Julian, has joined efforts with Paw Paw Brewing Company to host the first annual, Uncork Paw Paw: Grapes and Grains Festival. Among other favorites on tap, Paw Paw Brewing Co. will feature their limited edition Barrel Aged Cherry Stout along with St. Julian Winery’s Gunga Din Cider. The event will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2013 from 2pm-10pm at St. Julian Winery. There is a $5 admission fee that will help support the efforts to Save Maple Lake. Local bands will play the entire day including Brocoustic, Exit 41 and Delilah DeWylde. Family owned and operated, Amore Pizza of Paw Paw will serve delicious family fare including pizza and hot sandwiches.
The hope for this festival is to create awareness and raise money for the Two Rivers Coalition, a non-profit organization working to protect and preserve our precious rivers and lakes in Van Buren County and the water we drink, keeping the foundation of what makes life great in Michigan for you and your neighbors.
In addition to the Grapes and Grains Festival, Paw Paw Days, hosted by the Paw Paw Area Chamber of Commerce, will take place on Friday and Saturday. The 17th Annual event features a classic car show and arts and crafts tents throughout downtown Paw Paw and is great for the whole family.
St. Julian Winery was founded by Mariano Meconi over 90 years ago and is still family owned and operated today. All grapes are grown within 45 miles of their Paw Paw location and they pride themselves on being a Pure Michigan company. In addition to great wines, they produce sparkling juices and even distill vodka and brandy from grapes. www.stjulian.com
