Nottawa Creek Cleanup Event!

The FotSJR wants to share with everyone the information below about the upcoming Waterway Cleanup Event for Nottawa Creek.

This event is being sponsored by the St. Joseph County Conservation District (Centreville, MI). The SJCCD will provide equipment (boats, paddles, personal floatation devices), along with some snacks and bottles of water. Everyone that wants to participate in this river cleanup event are being asked to please phone the SJCCD in advance at 269-467-6336, Ext. 5, so that all the appropriate amount of equipment can be brought to the event to accommodate all the volunteers. 

Area of Cleanup:  The cleanup will take place from Rawson's King Mill County Park (Put-In point) to Nottawa Creek Boat Landing (Take-Out point). The cleanup will cover 1.3 River Miles of Nottawa Creek.

Date and Time of Event; Meeting Point:
The Nottawa Creek Cleanup will start at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. The Meeting Point for this event will be Rawson's King Mill County Park (29824 King Road, Leonidas, MI 49066). SJCCD will help people arrange vehicles to the put-in and take-out locations.
