Join the Friends of the St. Joe River Association for dinner and networking at our 16th Annual St. Joseph River Watershed Celebration at the Covered Bridge Farm Park near Centreville, Michigan. This year's presentation will be:

A Blot on the Map

When the Kankakee was an Edgy Place

This year's keynote will be given by Jon Coleman. Coleman is an environmental historian who teaches at the University of Notre Dame. He has written books about wolves, grizzly bear attacks, and getting lost in the wilderness. His talk will explore the nineteenth-century shadow economy that flourished in the region prior to the channeling of the river and draining of the marshes.

This year's event will follow the St. Joseph River Basin Symposium, which will be held in the afternoon at the same location.
