The St. Joseph River Basin Commission will be hosting the 17th Annual Indiana-Michigan St. Joseph River Basin Symposium on May 12, 2017 at the beautiful Fernwood Botanical Garden and Nature Center located in Niles, Michigan. The Symposium will focus on improving collaboration between local land and water managers.

The Symposium is a great opportunity to learn more about water quality initiatives and network with water resource professionals from both Indiana and Michigan.

In addition to a presentation from Jim Selgean of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on sediment movement, this year's Symposium will include a "River Basin Roundup" where several people give short "ignite style"  presentations highlighting watershed management efforts throughout the basin.

A continental breakfast is being sponsored by the Michiana Council of Governments and lunch will be provided by the Friends of the St. Joe River Association. Space is limited and reservations are required.

For more information or to RSVP call (574) 287-1829 xt800 or email BasinDirector@macog.com.

Please RSVP no later than May 5, 2017!
